What Is a Tax Identification Number (TIN)?

A Tax Identification Number (TIN) is a nine-digit number used as a tracking number by the Tanzania Revenue Service (TRA). It's required information on all tax returns filed with the IRS. 

There are a few types of tax identification numbers, including the Non business identification number and Business identification number.
